INDORE: Sitting MP and BJP candidate Sumitra Mahajan has been leading about 1.6 lakh votes against the Congress candidate Satyanarayan Patel in the sixth round of counting for Indore Lok sabha constituency seat on Friday. The seven-time MP Mahajan popularly known as 'Tai' is all set to enter the Parliament for eight consecutive time.1989 was the first time when she entered the Parliament from the crucial Indore seat defeating former union minister P C Sethi by a considerable margin. Since then, there has been no look back for Mahajan. "I hope to win by a huge margin this time,"" said the visibly happy BJP candidate adding that unlike the last year, this year all the party workers had come on a common platform to ensure her victory.Mahajan, who had played an important role in the Vajpayee government, held vital portfolios including petroleum, woman and child welfare and telecommunication. Perhaps, she was the first woman to have handled the petroleum ministry."I do not talk about ministry now," she said adding that it is the prerogative of the party and the prime minister, so she has nothing to talk about it.
